Rob WinterGovernance Lay Member
As the lay member for governance, my role is to provide the Federation Board with advice, challenge and support around the control, risk management and governance arrangements necessary to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of our objectives. With my other lay member colleagues I also aim to assist senior management in the overall strategic management and direction of the Federation.
I am a chartered public sector accountant by profession but have spent almost 20 years in the field of internal audit, risk management and governance and I am passionate about the role good governance plays in an organisation’s success and effectiveness. I have considerable experience across the wider public sector providing internal audit, risk management and governance services to such organisations as Barnsley Council, South Yorkshire Police, South Yorkshire Fire Service and the Sheffield City Region Combined Authority.

I feel privileged to have this role with the Federation and look forward to helping it develop, thrive and succeed in the years to come.

Cllr Jeff EnnisPublic and Patient Engagement
I have a wealth of experience in many capacities across the public and parliamentary sectors, including positions at board level. Born and raised in Barnsley, I have taken an active interest within the community; originally beginning my career in teaching, I was first elected as MP for Barnsley East in 1996. During my time as an MP I maintained a focus on health issues, championing improvements to Children’s Hospital funding and tackling the sale of tobacco to minors, whilst I was in office. I have since served as PPS to the Public Health Minister, increasing my knowledge and awareness of the health disparities across the borough. I am currently the Mayor of Barnsley, appointed in May 2017.
